The Ultimate Sanctuary at Sea: Lürssen Delivers 82m HAVEN

By Frances Flannagan

Lürssen has proudly announced that 82m HAVEN has successfully been delivered: a stunning motor yacht created with an emphasis on outdoor living. HAVEN boasts a blend of intricate stylings with innovative design details, a highlight being her 300 sqm sun deck with a 2.5m ceiling height and moveable windbreak panels.

HAVEN, known throughout her construction as Project CALI, departed from Lürssen’s shipyard on the 17th of June as she embarked on her maiden voyage. The concept and sleek exterior design were developed in-house by Jim Robert Sluijter, balanced by a contemporary interior created by RWD.

She features a low profile and elegant lines that sweep from bow to stern, attributing her a sense of both femininity and athleticism. Running across her superstructure are sinuous concave patterns, encapsulating the movement of waves as they are reflected by sunlight.

Sluijter commented: ‘The Owner fell in love with the first outline of the project, and as a result, HAVEN has barely changed from the original sketch. HAVEN feels very different from many other yachts; she has a practical and functional design that places great emphasis on outdoor living. Thanks to an interplay of light and glazing, all interior spaces are well connected with the outdoors.’

Natural and pure materials have been implemented throughout HAVEN’s design, beautifully enhancing her dynamic layout that is characterised by asymmetrical shapes. RWD worked closely with the Owners to create a unique design vocabulary, with subtly crafted details reflecting their personalities.

Mattia Mazzucchi, Head of Interiors at RWD, commented: ‘Through the combination of curated pieces and custom designs, every inch of HAVEN will be beautiful, personal, and functional. Striking artworks draw the eye with their vibrancy around every corner. Bold, confident, fun, and energetic, where the joy of colour takes centre stage.’

With an overall length of 82m and a beam of 12.5m, HAVEN is placed among the world’s largest tri-deck superyachts currently afloat. She boasts generous outdoor spaces, a family-oriented layout and storage for a plethora of water toys, wonderfully reflecting her Owner’s active lifestyle and family values.

Alongside her stunning design, other standout elements of HAVEN include a 300 sqm sun deck with high ceilings and moveable windbreak panels and an expansive beach club with single-step sea terraces, offering a seamless connection to the surroundings.

Peter Lürssen, Managing Director of Lürssen, commented: ‘Kees de Keizer and his team, who oversaw the build on behalf of the Owner, and RWD were exceptional partners throughout the construction of HAVEN, and the relationships they forged with our employees are incredibly robust. I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone involved in HAVEN; the results testify to their upstanding communications and commitment to the project.’

Superyachts.com would like to congratulate Lürssen on this exceptional delivery, and cannot wait to follow future updates on motor yacht HAVEN: the ultimate sanctuary at sea.
