Top 100 2025 : The Official Round-Up
On the 15th January 2025, Superyachts.com welcomed superyacht industry figureheads and press from around the world to The May Fair in London, to engage in insightful and exclusive discussions about the Top 100 largest yachts.
The Top 100 event is renowned within the industry as being a hub for meaningful exchanges between the superyacht industry and the outside world. Over the course of the day, seven workshops took place for press to be immersed in the world of yachting, discussing everything from the latest innovations to the niche crafts and talents that bring these vessels to life.
Five companies from all aspects of the superyacht industry led the workshops: Edmiston, representing the brokerage side as well as being the event’s sponsor, Damen Yachting and Oceanco representing the shipbuilders, and H2 Yacht Design and Winch Design flying the flag for superyacht design studios.
Alex Martin, Editor in Chief at Elite Traveler, shared that the publication already had an interest in the exploration aspect of the superyacht industry, something which was enhanced due to the discussions he had throughout the day:
‘It’s an area that we’re looking to cover in-depth for Elite Traveler in the near future, and they are [Damen Yachting] really setting themselves out as a leader in that part of the industry.’
The 2025 edition of this event was made more exciting than ever, with a series of iconic launches from 2024 to discuss as well as some flagship vessels geared to hit the water over the next twelve months. In May 2024, the world’s first hydrogen fuel cell superyacht, Project 821, was launched, something which was a favourite point of discussion amongst the press.
‘One of the most interesting things I’ve learnt is a superyacht that Edmiston’s developing, which is basically the world’s first hydrogen fuel cell superyacht,’ commented Francesca Syz, a journalist at The Telegraph. ‘It’s reducing harmful emissions by 90 percent, which is pretty cool.’
Another hot topic is REV Ocean: the 194.9m superyacht set to launch in 2025. Poised to become the largest yacht ever built, conversations surrounding this monumental moment for the industry were amplified even more, as H2 Yacht Design is responsible for her interiors.
It was a spectacular event that united professionals from across the globe, whether they were superyacht industry leaders, yachting enthusiasts, or press that are fascinated by our special industry.
2025 is set to be an unforgettable year for the world of yachting, and we at Superyachts.com are so proud to have facilitated this event to kick off the new year. We would like to extend our thanks to our sponsors, Edmiston, as without your support the event would not have been possible. We would also like to thank Damen Yachting, H2 Yacht Design, Oceanco and Winch Design for leading the workshops, as well as all those who attended.
