Top 100 Spotlight : Feadship

By Frances Flannagan

There are few yards in the world that consistently build and deliver Top 100 superyachts, however Dutch yard Feadship is one of them. Superyachts.com shines a spotlight on the 14 Feadship-builds which proudly take their spot on the world’s Top 100 largest yachts list.

Leading Dutch yard Feadship has been a prominent player in building the world’s largest yachts for decades, with 14 of the Top 100 fleet being Feadship-builds. In 2024 alone, the shipyard launched its largest yacht to date, Project 821 (118.8m, Feadship, Rank: 35), and delivered three more: LAUNCHPAD (118m, Feadship, Rank: 37), ULYSSES (102.6m, Feadship, Rank: 70) and DRIZZLE (91.8m, Feadship, Rank: 94).

Project 821 captivated the industry’s attention for a number of reasons; not only was she the largest yacht ever to be built by Feadship, but she is also the world’s first yacht to feature a hydrogen fuel cell. This has resulted in her being the most sustainably advanced yacht in the world, marking the new and exciting fuel-cell era of yachting.

As well as the four additions last year, there are a number of other iconic Feadship vessels on the Top 100 list. ANNA (110m, Feadship, Rank: 51) was launched in 2018, and was the first superyacht capable of landing tilt-rotor aircraft due to her large aft deck that serves as the main helicopter platform.

SYMPHONY (101.5m, Feadship, Rank: 71) was the first Feadship to exceed the 100 metre mark, MOONRISE (100m, Feadship, Rank: 74) was the largest superyacht by waterline length ever built in the Netherlands at the time of her launch in 2020, and MADAME GU (99m, Feadship, Rank: 76) boasts an iconic giant hidden helicopter hangar.

The remainder of Feadship’s contribution to the Top 100 list include BLISS (95m, Feadship, Rank: 84), VIVA (94m, Feadship, Rank: 87), ROYAL ROMANCE (92.m, Feadship, Rank: 90), AQUARIUS (92m, Feadship, Rank: 92) SOPHIA (96.6m, Feadship, Rank: 79) and LADY S (93m, Feadship, Rank: 88), the last two currently available for charter with Edmiston.

With four new additions to this fleet in 2024 alone, it is clear that Feadship is making waves in the large yacht segment, with two more yachts due for delivery in 2025: 101m Project 1013 and 100m Project 824
