Top 100 Spotlight : Oceanco
Known for pushing the boundaries of yacht design, Oceanco not only creates innovative and eye-catching masterpieces, but also some of the largest yachts on the planet. Superyachts.com takes a look at the Dutch yard’s iconic contributions to its official Top 100 list.
Despite being a relatively new brand to appear on the global superyacht stage, existing for only 37 years, eight of the world’s Top 100 fleet is made up of Oceanco vessels. Out of the five sailing yachts which make up the Top 100, two of these vessels are Oceanco-builds: KORU (125m, Oceanco, Rank: 27) and BLACK PEARL (106.7m, Oceanco, Rank: 63), with the former being the second largest sailing yacht to ever be built.
INFINITY (117m, Oceanco, Rank: 38) is Oceanco’s largest motor yacht to date, boasting seven decks, accommodation for up to 16 guests and an extensive wellness area. Following closely behind is KAOS (110m, Oceanco, Rank: 52), an iconic vessel that features ‘fake decks’ to mask her above-average deck height.
SEVEN SEAS (109m, Oceanco, Rank: 57) and BRAVO EUGENIA (109m, Oceanco, Rank: 58) both have a LOA of 109 metres, however are incredibly different in design, highlighting the diversity of Oceanco’s builds. BRAVO EUGENIA is the shipyard’s ‘sustainability pioneer’ bearing the title of its first LIFE Design yacht and featuring unmatched hydrodynamic efficiency and advanced hybrid propulsion.
SEVEN SEAS, on the other hand, is defined by nature, honouring the natural surroundings by inviting views into the interiors with large glass windows and boasting an inside-outside flow with serene spaces characterised by natural materials.
The newest addition from Oceanco to the Top 100 fleet is H3, (105m, Oceanco, Rank: 66), who has also been deemed one of the most iconic yachts to be built in The Netherlands in recent years. This vessel underwent a rebuild so extensive that it has come to be known as a total ‘rebirth’: a highly complex project that has been admired by the entire industry.
TRANQUILITY (91.5m, Oceanco, Rank: 95) is the final yacht from this iconic brand to be included in the world’s Top 100 list. She returned to the shipyard in May 2024 for a transformative refit, including a new interior, a stern extension and a full repaint.
Oceanco is poised for continued success within the prestigious Top 100 fleet, with 111m Y722 scheduled for launch in 2025, making her the third largest vessel to be delivered by the yard.
"BLACK PEARL is one of the largest and most ecological sailing yachts in the world. She can cross the Atlantic without burning even a litre of fossil fuel."
