An Exclusive Insight into SCINTILLA MARIS: The Ultimate Modern Expedition Vessel

In May 2024, Superyachts.com sat down with the Owner of SCINTILLA MARIS, a 45.6m motor yacht, following its debut in London after an extensive rebuild. Owner Erik Vonk, who personally oversaw the design, shared that his goal was to create a yacht capable of traveling anywhere, ‘under any circumstances,’ with an emphasis on comfort and connectivity to the water.

The yacht features a hybrid propulsion system and is poised for future upgrades, including solar panels and batteries. Inside, she offers a bright, airy atmosphere, with high ceilings and natural light throughout, thanks to the design by Vripack. Vonk praised the interior’s balance of comfort and function, stating: ‘It feels like a home away from home.’

A Conversation with the Owners of 40m HAPPY ME

Superyachts.com had the pleasure of speaking with the Owners of 40m Benetti motor yacht HAPPY ME. They provided a wonderful insight into her impressive range of amenities, including a self-levelling pool table, a versatile Onyx Bar, and an array of water toys such as jet skis, seabobs, and E-Foils. The Owners revealed that they wanted to create a ‘feel-good oasis at sea,’ where guests can feel at home while enjoying both relaxation and adventure.

The design of HAPPY ME also reflects the Owners' personal connection to the yacht, with the name symbolizing their gratitude for realizing their dream of owning a superyacht. ‘Not a day should go by without remembering how fortunate we are,’ her Owner noted.
