Turquoise Yachts Announces Two Major Milestones

By Frances Flannagan

The week commencing the 20th of May was highly exciting for Turquoise Yachts, with two of its vessels both reaching significant milestones. 79m Project TORO was successfully launched, and 75m Project ARROW was transported from the yard’s Kocaeli facility to its Pendik shipyard for the final stages of her construction.

Sold by SuperYachtsMonaco back in 2021, Project TORO will be the largest yacht delivered by the Turkish yard after 77m GO. This stunning motor yacht is representative of the Turquoise team’s dedication to innovation and meticulous attention to detail.

Harrison Eidsgaard, who penned the interior and exterior design of Project TORO, commented: ‘We are delighted that our first collaboration with Turquoise Yachts is the full custom 79m Project TORO. She features a neo-classical exterior with hints of a funnel rising from main deck to sun deck. The interior is the definition of serenity and calm, featuring a huge Neptune lounge, and many other stunning features.’

75m Project ARROW is Turquoise’s first hybrid yacht, and has now been successfully transferred to Pendik yard to undergo the interior installation, outfitting and general completion.

Her hull and naval architecture have been designed in-house, whilst Team for Design is responsible for her exteriors and H2 Yacht Design has overseen her interior stylings. Despite her sleek profile, Project ARROW boasts impressive volumes onboard, with a beam of 13.2m and a gross tonnage of 1932.

Project ARROW represents the future of sustainable yachting, fitted with a battery-powered hybrid propulsion system and fully integrated MTU, ensuring she remains cutting-edge for years to come. She can reach speeds of up to 10 knots in battery mode, and is able to maintain silent mode for long periods due to the 1.5 MW lithium battery capacity.

There are six yachts currently under construction at the Turkish yard: 80m BRAVO, 76m ARROW, 87m VENTO, 79m TORO, 42m S/Y WILDCAT and 51m RAINBOW II. Following  the deliveries of award-winning 75m INFINITE JEST and 53m JEWELS, Turquoise Yachts has positioned itself as a key player within the industry, with many more exciting times to come.
