Van Der Valk Launches Eye-Catching 33m M/Y BLUE JEANS
Dutch shipyard Van Der Valk Shipyard has launched the mesmerising 33.74m Blue Jeans. The bespoke raised pilothouse superyacht has now become the yard’s third largest build.
Featuring a unique metallic blue hull livery adorning her sporty profile, Blue Jeans represents an impressive achievement for the yard, as she becomes not only its third largest build, but also one of the most complex custom projects the design team has undertaken.
First revealed to the industry in May, the 33m custom vessel hit the water at the Van Der Valk Waalwijk facilities, showcasing her sleek Guido de Groot exterior that has been ‘ingeniously’ designed; crafted with a play on colours, surfaces and lights to, ‘remove any hint of white and generate a really distinctive look’. The naval architecture of Blue Jeans was created by 'vetran' naval architecture studio, Diana Yacht Design.
Highlights of Blue Jeans’ exterior include a recessed chill-out zone in the forepeak, glass bulwarks and dive-board balconies situated on the main deck. An impressive feature included with the 33m is her ‘mothership-matching’ aluminium tender that has also been completed custom built. The bright blue paint of the new launch and her matching tender was custom-mixed by the Van der Valk paint masters and Alexseal.
Inside, Blue Jeans’ interior boasts spectacularly high ceilings at almost 2.5m in height, creating an impressive sense of space that has been finished to the highest quality. Home to a sophisticated palette of metals and woods, every inch of space of Blue Jeans’ interior has been optimised to present a timeless design that will not date.
We can't wait to spot the unmissable Blue Jeans as she now traverses the world with her new owners.
