Yachtie Career Day: An Exciting New Industry Event Set to Take Place in Genoa
In an exciting new collaboration between Genoa Superyacht Hub and the Professional Yachting Association (PYA), the very first edition of ‘Yachtie Career Day’ is set to take place on the 19th of March 2024. The day is geared to be the perfect networking hub for experienced industry players and brand-new crew alike, with a variety of talks and activities to assist in elevating careers as well as discovering new opportunities.
Genoa Superyacht Hub and PYA have announced a brand new collaboration launching for the first time in the Italian yachting hub of Genoa: Yachtie Career Day. This event will see prominent recruiters and trainers in the sector brought together to provide unparalleled networking opportunities for individuals across the industry.
Non-profit organisation PYA acts as the voice of yacht crew worldwide, with the mission of promoting high standards of qualification, skills and knowledge amongst professional yachting personnel. It, therefore, seemed only natural to partner with the established brand of Amico & Co and Pesto Sea Group, the Genoa Superyacht Hub, a company with the aim of establishing the city as an international hub for yachts, inclusive of their crew, to kick start this brand new and highly important event.
This first edition of the Yachtie Career Day will be held at the Waterfront Marina in Piazzale Kennedy; free for attendees and suited to everyone from experienced crew members to brand-new players in the industry.
The open day will allow guests to explore new job opportunities, and meet with recruiters about potential roles that match an individual’s skills and aspirations. It is also the perfect place for guests to connect with crew career experts, get specialist information on professional training, as well as discover the new calendar of upcoming courses in Genoa.
The day will begin with registration and coffee between 8.30 am and 9.20 am. An eclectic mix of activities, from leadership and management sessions to discovering the world of beer with a sommelier, will start at 9.30 am and will run throughout the day.
Taking place in a stunning location that is being promoted as the next superyacht hub, undoubtedly, this brand new Yachtie Career Day not only marks a fruitful collaboration between two companies with impactful missions, but also provides an exciting new platform for crew to discover and be immersed in the highest quality of yachting professionalism.
